Proportion + racial sliders distorts expressions after export

I am not sure whether this is a MakeHuman / MHX2 problem or a combination. I encountered an issue with expressions in Blender. Have isolated the problem to the minimum steps to reproduce. Make the model, Worked :

  • Change skeleton to default no toes
  • Add Base Teeth

All expressions look normal in Blender. Add these additional changes to cause problem

  • change gender to female
  • change proportions to 100%
  • set a mix of races to African 0.168667, Asian 0.494, Caucasian 0.33733

Having investigated this I think I can isolate it to MHX2, or more specifically how the rig is setup on import in blender.

If you check "override" at import and then at the bottom set rig type to "exported mhx", this is how effort3 looks:

On the other hand, if you accept operator presets, then is how effor3 looks on the same toon:

Since the expressions are poses, they're functions of the applied rig. If you have an incompatible rig, you get corrupt expressions.

Since the problem a) has a workaround, b) doesn't seem to be in MH specifically, I'm going to drop it as an issue targeted for 1.1.x. I'm leaving it open here for now since it might merit a FAQ entry and/or as a reference for Thomas.
